2. Why can’t I charge my tracker?

• Make sure the tracker’s battery is not completely flat. If the battery is flat for a long period of time, it may take a few minutes for the indicator to light up
• Make sure charging is carried out under normal temperature conditions (0°C to +45°C)
• If abroad, please check that the voltage input is compatible

The device has an IP67 rating, which means it is fully protected against dust and can withstand being submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

6. Is the power-light waterproof

This device has an IP67 rating, which means it is fully protected against dust and can withstand being submerged in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

7. Why is the tracker’s location not accurate?

The tracker uses mainly GPS and Wi-Fi technology to identify its position, which means the location can only be detected in areas with sufficient coverage. If the tracker is situated indoors, GPS location cannot be used – therefore the location accuracy will always be lower.

8. How does the Impact Detection feature work?

DOTS.you has a built-in accelerometer, which detects most falls that involve a strong impact followed by a motionless state for 5 seconds. If movement is detected during this period, the automatic impact detection alert will not be triggered.

Impact Detection’s default setting is ‘off’. To activate the feature, at least one emergency contact must be set.

When Impact Detection is ‘on’, your DOTS.you will go into emergency mode and in the event of impact will send an SMS to your pre-set contacts (up to 5 contacts) after the pre-set time (default setting is 2 minutes).

9. Why isn’t my DOTS.you app working properly?

• Make sure your smartphone has Bluetooth activated and a working data connection
• If it does, perform a force close on the app

(Android: open your device’s settings, scroll down and tap apps, choose DOTS.you and app to force to quit. iPhone X or later: from the home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen so that all of your most-recently used apps show in a carousel, swipe up on the DOTS.you app preview to close it.
iPhone 8 or earlier: double-click the home button to show your most-recently used apps in a carousel, swipe up on the DOTS.you app preview to close it.)

• Re-open the DOTS.you app
• If this doesn’t work, try uninstalling and re-installing the app

10. Why is the data shown in the DOTS.you app not up to date?

The DOTS.you app will refresh data every 3-4 minutes, so you might need to wait a few minutes for it to update. If data is still not up to date:

• Make sure that the Sim is ‘active. If ‘inactive’, please activate it by following the instructions
• Double check that the Bluetooth on your Smartphone is on and then try again
• Perform a force close on the DOTS.you app and re-open it
